Pulitzer finalist Matt Bors to publish 10-year anthology in 2013 Posted: 03 Nov 2012 09:08 AM PDT Matt Bors' cartoon 'White Babies Outnumbered'. – All rights reserved/Matt Bors LOS ANGELES, Nov 3 – Satirical cartoonist and 2012 Pulitzer Prize finalist Matt Bors is to publish the first anthology of his work in 2013 – and maybe the second as well, if fans continue to fund the collection. Having already won the Herblock Prize for Excellence in Cartooning this year, Bors has benefited from public backing after he appealed for US$20,000 in order to bring Life Begins At Incorporation: Cartoons and Essays to press. The goal was reached in ten days via a Kickstarter campaign and, with another 19 to go, Bors is proposing a second collection of his cartoons should his US$30,000 stretch goal be met. In his mischevious 2012 Herblock Prize acceptance speech, filled as it was with jokes, advice and observation, Bors said that he wanted to "make people laugh at the things that they're outraged about, and scream at them for the things that they aren't" and found an opportunity for a friendly dig at 2012 Pulitzer winner Matt Wuerker.
