Supermodel Anja Rubik works with Giuseppe Zanotti on shoes Posted: 26 Feb 2013 04:22 AM PST February 26, 2013 MILAN, Feb 26 —  Polish-born supermodel Anja Rubik has been hard at work with Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti on a new capsule collection of footwear and accessories. An open-toe stiletto pump studded with gold piercings and a black suede shoulder are two of the designs which have been previewed, and which are expected to retail at an average price of US$1,200 (RM3,600). According to the Italian the collaboration was a happy accident — "it happened naturally in my atelier where our ideas and skills fused together, listening to music, chatting and having a good time," he told WWD. The Polish supermodel certainly likes to flex her creative muscles. Last year, working with her husband Sasha Knezevic, she relaunched avant-garde print publication 25 Magazine, ringing in fashion favours from models like Karlie Kloss and Abbey Lee Kershaw for the kinky sex-themed issue. A video published by the Zanotti brand gives fans a glimpse behind the scenes as the model is photographed brandishing the new shoes and accessories, and posing alongside the eponymous designer. — AFP/Relaxnews

This will be a new venture for the brand, which has only sold jewellery and perfume up until now. Mauboussin will unveil an ad campaign for this exclusive piece with the slogan "Simplement pour Elle" ("Simply for Her"). The shots taken by photographer Sylvie Lancrenon show an almost naked Elsa Zylberstein covering up with the Mauboussin handbag.
