According to Twitchfilm.com, Matt Damon had put his hesitations aside and begun negotiating his return to the character of Jason Bourne, the amnesiac hit-man first imagined by the writer Robert Ludlum.

The website also indicated that British filmmaker Paul Greengrass was in talks to direct the next Bourne film, nearly seven years after "The Bourne Ultimatum."

These rumors were short lived, however. Universal Pictures reported to Variety Magazine that future Bourne-related projects will be based on the spin-off released last year, "The Bourne Legacy," with Jeremy Renner in the role of another secret agent, Aaron Cross.

A direct sequel to "The Bourne Legacy" has been in the writing stages since mid-August. Anthony Peckham ("Sherlock Holmes") is authoring the screenplay, in which Aaron Cross will aim to bring the Outcome project to a close.

The film will begin shooting next year for a theatrical release scheduled for 2015. – AFP/Relaxnews, August 28, 2013.

Chadwick Boseman, born in 1982, will add another historic figure to his repertoire through the portrayal of James Brown. The actor made a name for himself earlier this year as the star of "42;" the biopic of Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the 1940s.

The plot points of the screenplay, authored by Jez and John Henry Butterwoth, remain unknown, but Chadwick Boseman's age leads us to believe that the film will focus on James Brown's formative years.

Growing up in the segregated American South, the musician faced a long, rocky road before achieving success in the 1950s with the R&B group The Famous Flames.

The feature film will be co-produced by Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment and by Mick Jagger, through his Jagged Films production company. - AFP/Relaxnews, August 28, 2013.
