Stephen King’s ‘Bad Little Kid’ picked for film adaptation Posted: 05 May 2014 08:50 PM PDT The film historian is known for helming a wide variety of "Making Of" featurettes, spanning "Jaws," "Jurassic Park," "Star Wars," "American Graffiti" and "Minority Report." But Bouzereau isn't just a George Lucas and Steven Spielberg specialist. Among the hundreds of featurettes on his CV, he was also the writer and director behind "A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King," and now he's to try his hand at directing a straight up horror himself. And the behind-the-scenes expert will adapt and direct King's short story, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Written as a token of gratitude for King's French and German fans, "Bad Little Kid" ("Sale Gosse"/ de. "Böser kleiner Junge") is about the effect of a singularly evil child on those he comes into contact with. Other King short stories that have made the transition to cinema include "1408" (adapted into a film starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson), part of the "Hearts in Atlantis" collection (featuring Anthony Hopkins, Anton Yelchin and Hope Davis), and horror classic "Children of the Corn" (with Peter Horton and Linda Hamilton). – AFP/Relaxnews, May 6, 2014. |
