Second Stephen King novel for 2014 announced Posted: 13 Feb 2014 04:41 PM PST On his website, the best-selling American suspense novelist said "Revival" would be published on November 11 by US publisher Scribner and Britain's Hodder and Stoughton. It finds a young rock musician, Jaime Morton, grappling with his demons, crossing paths with a preacher from his hometown, Charles Jacobs, who curses God in the wake of a family tragedy. "Their bond becomes a pact beyond even the Devil's devising, and Jamie discovers that revival has many meanings," according to a blurb on www.stephenking.com. King, 66, has another novel, the thriller "Mr Mercedes", slated to be published on June 3 – on the heels of an ebook version of last year's potboiler "Joyland" to appear sometime in April. The prolific author has more than 60 novels to his name, several of which – like "Carrie" and "The Shining" – went on to become major motion pictures. More than 350 million copies of his works have been sold. – AFP, February 14, 2014. |
