Serving up an abundance of colours

Posted: 13 Sep 2012 05:34 PM PDT

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — As a kid, I used to be in awe of this dish — firstly due to its very attractive appearance, and secondly because the "cha cha" in its name never failed to tickle my funny bone.

I always knew that "bubur" was the Malay word for porridge or congee, but it was a lot later that I found out the "cha cha" was actually in reference to the Hokkien word "che che" which means "abundance."

It is a dessert ideal for those with a sweet tooth; a colourful combination of cooked sweet potatoes of a variety of colours, yam or taro and sago, all simmered in a rich base made from coconut milk and rock sugar. Knotted screwpine (pandan) leaves are usually added to the creamy base to infuse them with their irresistible fragrance, one that is bound to have you salivating.

Just as we have Bubur Cha Cha here in Malaysia, a few other countries in South-east Asia, namely Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, have their own variations of this dessert.

The minor adjustments include the addition of other ingredients that make them unique to their country of origin, though they all share a similar main ingredient — coconut milk.

Here in Malaysia, some people even add coloured tapioca jelly — both for presentation purposes and their unique chewy texture. This is not compulsory, however, but they do quite a good job in pleasing the eye.

The main attraction of the dish would definitely be the variety of sweet potatoes and yam, and of course the translucent pearls or sago. To also enable the sago to remain seperate and not clump together, it is important that after you boil the sago pearls, you immerse them into a big bowl of cold water.

This is to stop the sago pearls from cooking further and to help them maintain their chewy texture. I would also advice being very careful when cooking the yam and sweet potatoes; cooking them for too long would result in a mushy texture, resulting in them breaking apart in the coconut milk.

Bubur Cha Cha makes a wonderful dessert, and is definitely a dish you could easily prepare to impress guests.

Bubur Cha Cha

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves 6-8 people

500g orange sweet potatoes, skin removed and cut into large cubes
500g yellow sweet potatoes, skin removed and cut into large cubes
100g sago pearls, washed under running water until water runs clear
4 screwpine (pandan) leaves, washed then knotted
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 cups fresh coconut milk
250g sugar

Note: Soak sweet potatoes in water immediately after you cut them to prevent cut pieces from turning brown (oxidisation).

1. In a medium size pot, boil one litre of water. Once water has boiled, add sweet potatoes and boil for 15 minutes. Discard water and set sweet potatoes aside.

2. Meanwhile, in another medium size pot, boil 1 litre of water. Add sago pearls and boil for roughly 5 minutes. Pass sago pearls through a fine sieve and immediately plunge sago pearls into a large bowl of cold water, leaving the sago in the sieve.

3. In another large pot, add coconut milk, screwpine leaves, salt and sugar. Boil over medium heat for 5 minutes.

4. Add sweet potatoes and sago pearls. Continuously stir with a wooden ladle for 10 minutes, over medium heat.

5. Turn off heat and allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving OR you can also refrigerate the dessert and serve it cold

Getting to know Remy Martin

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — Age matters when it comes to good liquor and Remy Martin stays true to the heart of cognac by ensuring that their offerings spend more time aging — far longer than required by law.

Dating back to 1724, the House of Remy Martin harvests its grapes from the exquisite Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne vineyards of Cognac in France. With the look of liquid gold and a texture that is silky smooth, it is no wonder that over the years, Remy Martin is a very well-regarded brand.

"The vineyards in Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne are close to the sea so the grapes are harvested from the best soil," said Laurent Soulat, regional marketing manager, South-east Asia, Middle East & India at a Remy Martin tasting recently.

The method of distillation for Remy Martin is unique in the world of cognac because it goes through double distillation in small alambics to extract Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie (also known as waters-of-life, a clear liquid from grapes). To give the cognac a distinctive aroma and intensity, Remy Martin's eaux-de-vie is aged in the choicest Limousin oak casks for a number of years.

To uphold traditions of producing fine cognac, Remy Martin appoints a Cellar Master, who practically lives and breathes Remy Martin. There have only been four Cellar Masters in the past century and this is to preserve the fine art of the craft.

"Pierrette Trichet is the current Cellar Master and she is the only female Cellar Master in the history of Remy Martin. She has spent decades working at the House of Remy Martin, ensuring the heritage of Fine Champagne cognac stays true to its roots," said Soulat.

Soulat also explained that over the years, preferences and tastes of different regions have inspired the House of Remy Martin to create unique blends such as the Remy Martin Club that was introduced to China in 1985.

We began our tasting experience, starting with the Remy Martin VSOP, a blend of 55 per cent Grande Champagne and 45 per cent of Petite Champagne.

"First, we use our eyes to look at the vibrancy of the colour, then we use our nose to pick up the notes in the cognac, followed by tasting the cognac," said Soulat. He also taught us an exercise where we tip our glasses vertically and then twirl our glasses 360 degrees, making sure the cognac makes contact with every side of the glass. After that, we hold the glass upright and watch as the "legs" of the cognac slide down to the bottom of the glass.

"Look at how fast or slow the 'legs' come down. This shows you the thickness and strength of the cognac," Soulat said.

After Soulat walked us through the VSOP, followed by the Remy Martin Club, and Remy Martin XO, we began pairing the cognac with food.

Starting with the Tuna Sushi & Hamachi Sashimi which is best paired with the VSOP; the ripe apricot, violet and vanilla notes of the cognac brought out the freshness of the seafood.

This was followed by the Smoked Duck Salad with Shaved Fennel & Black Pepper which is, according to Soulat, a dish that is perfect with the Remy Martin XO. Consisting of 85 per cent Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the XO is a fiery mahagony-coloured cognac that is rich and velvety in texture. The red meat balanced well with the candied orange, jasmine and cinnamon notes of the XO.

Up next was the Roasted Portobello Mushroom filled with Feta Cheese and Caramelized Onion that is ideally paired with the Remy Martin Club. Lighter on the palate, with a 70 per cent Grande Champagne and 30 per cent Petite Champagne blend, the Remy Martin Club has hints of passion fruit, chocolate and honey notes.

The mellow yet flavourful Club brought out the earthy flavours of the mushroom and intensity of the cheese. My personal favourite from Remy Martin, the Club is definitely catered to suit Asian tastebuds.

"Our Remy Martin Club is popular in China because it goes well with Asian dishes," said Soulat.

The Oven Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Parsley Emulsion was served next, and this dish is recommended to go with the Club as well. Adding sweetness to the carrots, the Club gave a refreshing aftertaste to the vegetables.

This was followed by the Brie cheese with Dill Seed Wafer that goes well with Remy Martin VSOP as it gives the light snack an aromatic finish.

Chocolate and cognac always complement each other and what better way to finish a luxurious meal than with the rich and lingering Remy Martin XO which was paired with the dark chocolate mousse in coffee pastry shell. The density and fragrance of  the XO brought out the bittersweet taste of the dark chocolate, giving it a full-bodied finish.

If you enjoy silky textures with wild flower and dried fruit notes then the Remy Martin VSOP is suited for you. The Remy Martin Club is perfect for light drinkers with its unique to Asia blend while the Remy Martin XO is a great choice for the discerning drinker who wants something full-bodied and has a long, lingering aftertaste.

Cavendish loses leads in Tour of Britain

Posted: 13 Sep 2012 07:45 AM PDT

LONDON, Sept 13 – World road race champion Mark Cavendish lost the overall lead of the Tour of Britain today as Marc de Maar recovered from a crash near the end to win the fifth stage in Stoke.

Team Sky's Cavendish (picture) lost touch with the peloton on the undulating roads of the Peak District and finished more than 10 minutes behind De Maar who attacked with 7km remaining.

Australia's Leigh Howard reclaimed the overall lead with a seven-second advantage over Dutchman Boy van Poppel going into tomorrow's 189km sixth stage in the Welsh mountains.

Isner shoulders US tennis hopes in Spain

Posted: 13 Sep 2012 07:25 AM PDT

GIJON, Sept 13 – With Andy Roddick retired, Mardy Fish unavailable, and Spain apparently unbeatable at home on clay – the United States look distant second favourites when the two nations clash in the Davis Cup semi-final in Gijon starting on Friday.

Then again, few fancied their chances of beating a Switzerland team that included Roger Federer in round one and France in the quarter-finals led by the big-serving John Isner (picture).

Argentina will also start as favourites in their semi-final against the Czech Republic in Buenos Aires with Juan Martin del Potro and Juan Monaco shouldering their nation's hopes of winning the title for the first time.

The Czechs, however, boast in-form Tomas Berdych in their ranks and will be looking to repeat their victory over Argentina in Buenos Aires during the 1980 campaign which culminated in them claiming the huge trophy for the only time.

US captain Jim Courier's tenacity seems to have rubbed off on his side this year and while Spain are overwhelming favourites as they chase a fourth title in five years, there are still a few reasons for optimism for the Americans.

When nations lose their top players captain's hope that one of the underlings steps up to the plate and in the case of Spain and the United States, their wishes have been granted.

Spain have had to make do without the injured Rafa Nadal this season but world number five David Ferrer and Nicolas Almagro underlined the Iberian nation's depth as they cruised past Kazakhstan and Austria to reach the semi-finals.

Likewise, Isner has assumed the leaders' role for Courier's side in the absence of former stalwart Roddick.

World number 10 Isner has a perfect 4-0 record in Davis Cup singles this season, taking the scalps of Federer on clay in Fribourg and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, also on the dirt, to close out the quarter-final in Monte Carlo.

"John's fresh and focused. He's beaten some substantial players this year," Courier who played 14 ties for the US and sealed the 1992 title against Switzerland, said on the United States Tennis Association website.

"He's going to have to be fresh and focused to stand a chance against Ferrer and Almagro. Those guys, you saw what I saw at the French Open. Those guys were playing some serious clay-court tennis.

"John's been incredible in Davis Cup this year. He's incredibly excited about Gijon."

WARY SPAIN

Ferrer will open the tie against Sam Querrey on Friday defending a 14-0 singles record in Davis Cup on claycourts so Isner will almost certainly be playing catch-up by the time he takes to the Parque Hermanos Castro court against Almagro.

Spain captain Alex Corretja said any team with Courier in charge would be dangerous.

"It's not going to be easy by any means. They have a captain like Courier with a great deal of experience," he said.

"They have the best doubles team (Mike and Bob Bryan) in the world and even though they are our opponents you have to admit they are great to watch."

For the Americans to pull off a shock and end Spain's run of 23 consecutive home victories in Davis Cup the world number one Bryans will have to earn their point when they take on Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez on Saturday.

Argentina, the only one of the semi-finalists without a title will believe that this could finally be their year, having lost all four finals they have contested including last year's title clash against Spain.

However there is a question mark about the fitness of eighth-ranked Del Potro, who has a left wrist problem.

"What I need (to do) to recover is rest as my doctor has already told me but I'll try to leave that for later on," Del Potro said after practising with the team at Parque Roca, the venue for the tie.

"It's something beautiful to be able to play here in Argentina and I'm going to make the effort for the crowd and try to give my best," added the 2009 US Open champion, who had surgery on his right wrist in 2010. – Reuters

Mike ‘I’m A Good Guy’ Tyson dances to a new tune

Posted: 13 Sep 2012 07:23 AM PDT

HONG KONG, Sept 13 — Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, once notorious for his bad-boy antics, has a new goal: he'd like to dance and act in musicals.

Tyson talking about the Broadway debut of his one-man show "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth" at a news conference in New York, June 18, 2012. — Reuters file pic

"I've always been a bad guy who wanted to be a good guy," said Tyson, 46, on the sidelines of the CLSA Investor Forum in Hong Kong this week.

"I didn't know how to be a good guy because I was always concentrating on being bad, so I've learned how to be a good guy now and treat people the way I want to be treated. That's why I have a passion for life now."

The convicted rapist who spent three years in prison and was later declared bankrupt has found religion and mellowed. He spoke to financiers in Hong Kong about his life before and after boxing, his family, and his acting career, which includes a recent one-man show on Broadway.

Tyson became the youngest world heavyweight champion in 1986 at age 20 and was undisputed world champion for several years. Convicted of rape in 1992, he later returned to the ring but added to his notoriety when he bit off a chunk of Evander Holyfield's ear in a 1997 bout.

But in Hong Kong, Tyson strutted into the room with the swagger of a boxing champion, looking dapper in a light-coloured suit and white shirt, working the crowd of financiers with a toothy grin.

"I'm not drinking, I'm not getting high, I'm not womanising, I'm not doing a lot of things that I normally did," said Tyson, once nicknamed "The Baddest Man on the Planet".

"This is what I'm doing now — a responsible individual, raising a family, loving my wife."

Asked what else he wants to do in his life, Tyson paused briefly.

"I want to do some dancing thing, I want to do some musicals," he said, to loud laughter.

Led Zeppelin to release reunion concert film

Posted: 13 Sep 2012 06:10 AM PDT

LONDON, Sept 13 — British rockers Led Zeppelin will release a concert film based on their 2007 charity performance in London that hits cinemas on October 17, the band said today.

The film, called "Celebration Day" and directed by Dick Carruthers, was taken from the long-awaited reunion of one of rock's most successful acts.

The theatrical release will be across 1,500 screens in more than 40 territories, followed by an audio and video release on November 19.

There will be premieres in London, Los Angeles, New York and other cities before the theatrical release, raising the possibility of seeing the three surviving members of the band on the same red carpet, if not the same stage.

The band broke up in 1980 after the death of their drummer John Bonham, but despite repeated calls from millions of fans to get back together to tour and record, reunions have been fleeting and, by their own admission, unsatisfactory.

But in 2007, singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bass player John Paul Jones, along with Bonham's son and drummer Jason, took the stage at London's O2 Arena for a tribute gig to Atlantic Records' founder Ahmet Ertegun.

It was the first headline show by the band in 27 years, and according to Cineworld, the cinema chain that will screen the movie in Britain, it was the most over-subscribed gig in history after more than 20 million people applied for 18,000 tickets.

"It's a unique opportunity to savour what is likely to be Led Zeppelin's final performance," Cineworld said.

The band, one of rock's biggest acts with global album sales estimated at up to 300 million, played 16 songs on the night including hits such as "Whole Lotta Love", "Kashmir" and "Stairway to Heaven".

The poster promoting the film features a cartoon of a zeppelin airship against a red sky above London's Houses of Parliament, reminiscent of the artwork on the band's 2007 compilation album "Mothership".

Following is the track listing of the upcoming film, which will last just over two hours.

1. Good Times Bad Times
2. Ramble On
3. Black Dog
4. In My Time Of Dying
5. For Your Life
6. Trampled Under Foot
7. Nobody's Fault But Mine
8. No Quarter
9. Since I've Been Loving You
10. Dazed And Confused
11. Stairway To Heaven
12. The Song Remains The Same
13. Misty Mountain Hop
14. Kashmir
15. Whole Lotta Love
16. Rock And Roll.

Non-profit group seeks to ‘save brains’ as well as lives

LONDON, Sept 13 – As many as 200 million children across the world fail to reach their full potential because their early brain development is held back by poverty, disease and malnutrition, global health experts said today.

Announcing backing for several projects aimed at "saving brains" as well as lives in poorer countries, they said global health and development efforts should focus not only on keeping children alive, but on improving their first 1,000 days.

The projects include plans to encourage so-called "kangaroo mother care", where low-weight newborns are held skin to skin rather than put into incubators, and ways of combating maternal depression to boost interaction between mothers and babies.

"There's a huge waste of brain power. It's like taking 200 million brains around the world and throwing them into 200 million waste bins," said Peter Singer, chief executive of Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), a non-profit group that funds health and development innovation in developing countries.

"Wasting brain power is a great way to make sure poor countries remain poor – that's why reversing it is so important."

Singer's group, funded by the Canadian government, is putting US$12 million () into 11 projects in developing countries from Thailand to Pakistan to Bangladesh to Colombia aimed at helping children flourish and pull themselves and their countries out of poverty.

"Imagine harnessing all that potential," Singer said in a telephone interview. "It's critical because brain development equals child development equals development of countries."

In Bangladesh, expectant mothers and babies who were given vitamin A supplements to reduce infant deaths will be tracked to see the impact on cognitive development in older children. Experts think vitamin A may be key to brain and central nervous system development and function.

A separate project in Colombia will assess whether skin-to-skin "kangaroo mother care", which provides nutrition, warmth and bonding for newborns, may be better than incubator care for babies' brain development.

With malaria infecting up to 300 million children in high-risk countries each year, another project will look at whether using a suppository form of the anti-malarial drug artesunate during the sometimes hours-long trip to get a child to hospital may minimise any brain injury caused when the disease attacks the brain and central nervous system.

"These ideas are proven in the short term, but now... it is important to understand how these innovations can impact children as they become adults, to see the real potential for improving lives," said Karlee Silver, GCC's expert on women's and children's health." – Reuters

Korean designer finds purrfect way for cats to share sofa

The "Cat Tunnel Sofa". — Reuters pic

SEOUL, Sept 13 — Living in a cramped urban apartment with a feline friend and wary of letting him or her sink their claws into your furnishings?

A Korean designer may have the answer with his "Cat Tunnel Sofa," an ingenious combination of human sofa and tubular tunnels for a cat to clamber through while its owner relaxes.

The sofa combines modern industrial type design with a bent tube running from the floor in one corner to the arm rest in the other for cats to play in. There is a slot cut in the tube at the rear of the sofa for cats to poke their head through.

"When the cats first saw the sofa, they instinctively went into the tunnel as if they knew it was for them," said Seungji Mun, the designer of the sofa and a dog owner himself.

With 19.2 million households in South Korea home to pets, according to government figures, and more than half the country's 50 million people crammed into conurbations around the capital Seoul, space is at a premium and apartments are cramped.

"It's a living room where people spend most of their time together with their pets, not their room. I thought the sofa could be a place for communication between pets and their owners," said the 22-year-old designer, who will market the product in 2013.

The "Cat Tunnel Sofa" was Mun's graduation project with two other designers Yongjeh Park and Kangkyoung Lee. But it is likely the dog-lover will put his "Dog House Sofa" on the market before moving into feline furnishings.

"I love animals so I put myself in their place, wondering what would intrigue them," said Mun. — Reuters

LOS ANGELES, Sept 13 — Professor X, the Marvel comic book character who formed and led the superhero mutant team known as X-Men, has been killed off.

The latest issue of comic book "Avengers VS. X-Men," out yesterday, saw the wheelchair bound and telepathic character, whose full name is Charles Xavier, get killed by Cyclops, a member of his very own X-Men team.

"When we first crafted 'Avengers VS. X-Men,' we didn't set out to kill any characters, but as the story progressed it became obvious that this had to be the last stand of Charles Xavier," Axel Alonso, editor-in-chief of Marvel Entertainment, said in a statement.

"Rest assured his death will reverberate across the Marvel Universe, leading into major launches like Uncanny Avengers and All-New X-Men this fall," Alonso added.

The storyline's dramatic conclusion will occur in the follow-up issue, due out October 3.

The X-Men characters have been brought to the big screen in a series of films starring Patrick Stewart as Professor X and James Marsden as Cyclops including 2000's "X-Men," 2003's "X2" and 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand."

Last year, a prequel to those films, "X-Men First Class," had British actor James McAvoy as the professor. — Reuters

Malaysia Day lessons for Najib

Posted: 12 Sep 2012 05:11 PM PDT

SEPT 13 — My ex-girlfriend did tell me once: "I know that you are right Praba, but do you have to be right every $%*&ing time?"

It was an eye-opener on the relationship end of things, primarily on the part it "ended" [N1]. But today, I mean specifically this day of writing, it does imbue a certain emotion in me. Not about being right, or even in the vicinity of right, but appearing pretentious.

How does one tell the obvious, without sounding like a sanctimonious, self-indulgent and over-rated diva? [N2]

For I have lessons for Najib Razak with Malaysia Day weekend coming. And rather than tiptoeing around the niceties, I might as well drop my load. Realising fully well, they are the obvious.

A democracy is about everyone ruling — it's OK to pass the "power" parcel

Malaysian public schools are not hotbeds for the dissemination of political thought, you might even go as far as saying they are the centres of nurturing political incomprehension inside each of its inmates.

But it did allow "democracy" to exist as a word, even if it was never allowed to be discussed by students.

Democracy, my teacher told me, was "the rule of the many" and she added without reservation, that Malaysia had it. Democratic Malaysia was ruled by the many, and this I was to cherish.

Democracy in Greek is two words — people and power. Everyone ruling might be more accurate, but my teacher was not misleading with her definition.

Presently, Najib spends time telling the same as my teacher [N3], that Malaysia is a democracy.

But he spends the same amount of time telling that the guys ruling, primarily himself, should always be ruling and that all Malaysians must endeavour to keep it that way.

It is madness, sheer madness, to champion the right for all to rule and then emphasise what you mean "by all" is the same and only group ever to rule.

Narcissism on steroids is barely touching the surface of this "saviour son" paranoia. This might be how the Najib years will be recollected.

A democracy must entail power rotating as willed by the people to various factions in the country indefinitely. The system can be all hues of representation, branches of power, federalism and voting system, but it cannot call itself a democracy if power is to remain with one group by lawful application.

The prime minister has to come to terms that he and his friends are just one of the many playing "passing the parcel" and as long as the music of democracy plays, they have to carry on passing it on. They don't have to smile, but pass they must and then wait for their turn. Or leave if they can't wait.

Only Fascists rely on fear

Fear is the most powerful tool of an authoritarian state.

Democrats may differ on taxation, size of government, defence spending and decorations at the front of the presidential palace, but they do not differ on fear. Fear as a means to govern is the antithesis of democratic rule, therefore true democrats oppose fear.

Mahathir Mohamad depended on cracked pictures of Chinese families in 1999 to scare the stuffing out of millions of voters. It worked — it also sealed that prime minister's place in history.

Najib must choose his own path, or condemn himself to a similar verdict.

Though the prime minister may deny being behind any of the scurrilous and faceless fear-mongering, neither has he spoken out against them.

Allowing fear to linger in the midst because the cumulative effects benefit you does not exclude you from judgment.

That is about the same as not taking responsibility for keeping the country on edge for three years with talk of a general election because ruling out early polls would not have been a good tactical call.

Najib may expose himself by loosening the noose around the people, but is it not real leadership to let your people breathe? Surely, your own political survival comes after the lives of your citizens are secured. Something about captains being the last to abandon ship.

Know your system by living in it, not above it — hiccups without a pick-up

My friend once quipped that you do not know how it feels to be someone else until you walked a mile in that someone's shoes [N4].

Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders might want to live like the average rakyat for a change.

One week driving to Kuala Lumpur city centre in the morning, and they'd realise that the MRT project and poor traffic management are bleeding them votes everywhere in the country.

And if they actually use public transportation, they may actually know what happens — or more so, what does not happen — as crowds wait for overcrowded, late-to-appear buses.

Sending their own kids to local universities might invoke in some interest in the quality of education in these institutes and not the extent of political indoctrination coupled with brownie points won by notching up a higher graduate count.

By that token, they may even overzealously let their graduating children join the job market unprotected, and see what they end up with — like clerks and cashiers. It is an unforgiving market for those emerging from subpar programmes and institutions.

There is a tidy long list to go with getting the rakyat "experience".

Buying houses where the completion is never certain, the environmental impact analysis often suspect and general infrastructure hit and miss. And then when you have the house, worry about break-ins. And when the house is secured, you worry about your security at work or school or while commuting.

The list of unsatisfactory service grows every day, but since those who rule live in a world different from the rakyat, they are largely indifferent.

Obvious, but so what?

There is the school of thought that the people in this country are minimalists. No matter how desperate things become as long as they have enough, they'd put up with it.

The guys in power don't want to relinquish power, so what? The average Malaysian is not keen to seek power, so it is a non-issue.

It appears to be a time of living dangerously, so what? The many are only concerned with keeping their jobs and clearing away from their immediate threats. Living in an inhospitable country is just incidental.

Those who rule us don't know how it is to be us, so what? Those who rule don't need to know us and definitely need not live like us, they just have to leave us alone.

Maybe that is true. The obvious may not matter.

I guess Najib, in that case, can just skip the lessons and move directly to the general election. I'm just wagering that it does matter.

[N1] Being right has nothing to do with being in a relationship. Being wrong too, I have learnt belatedly. Just stand real close to her, and hope she does not make a dash for it when the bus filled with college jocks passes by. Smile when uncertain. (That's about all the relationship advice I can lie about.)

[N2] This might be equally a backhanded compliment to an ex.

[N3] She said it without foreign consultants handing her fancy slides.

[N4] Plus he added, you'd be too far for that barefooted someone to chase. This way you get shoes and know how someone felt before and after.

Mat Sentol: Seniman yang dipinggirkan

Posted: 12 Sep 2012 04:58 PM PDT
